Lake Burrendong state park manager Jason Kirk said all the factors were working against him but people came out in numbers during the Easter weekend.

"A dam 13 per cent full, wet weather and heavy traffic, but the crowds and cabins, caravan parks in the area were overflowing. A great result really," he said.
The Lake Burrendong State Park is going through its master plan right now for the future and the manager says he is looking forward to engaging the community.
"We will have people on the ground in the next few weeks looking at every aspect of the state park in an effort to see where we can improve and also where we go down the track. It's very positive for the whole community," he said.
"Shortly we'll announce details of community engagement and stake holder meetings where you can have your say and we'll want everyone to be involved in this. Your suggestions will make this all better."
The Lake Burrendong Fishing Classic was a big success, Mr Kirk said, also giving the site a major boost.
