Geurie Picnics ready to go Saturday
Organisers of Saturday's Geurie Picnics are excited. Weights and nominations will be declared today. It is a six-race program with a 1700m Class B Handicap, the additional feature of the program.

The event kicks off Friday night with the Calcutta at the Geurie Bowling Club and a big crowd is expected to buy horses for the Bernie Wilkin Memorial Cup on Saturday. Recent rain should top off the track organisers say.
The day's activities will open at 12pm with plenty of early betting on interstate racing along withfashions on the field, a busy day of on track activities including running races, woman carrying and the like.
The opening horse race should start at 2pm.
