Wellington Council's Technical Services Director Stan Robb says progress on stages of the 353 Road to Dunedoo and diversions for bridge makeovers at Gundy and Dripstone are on target.

"We are progressing very well on the 353 Road's sealing work. We thank motorists and the community for their patience but this is moving well," he said.
The northern end near the Golden Highway is expected to be completed within weeks Mr Robb said.
"Then we will move to the remaining unsealed areas. We are getting set for the construction in those areas as we speak," he revealed.
There is crucial bridge diversion work at Gundy on the Renshaw McGirr Way in sight.
"We expect to begin work on the diversion so we can get to work on the bridge there. Gundy work will come first so motorists, residents and the community will see a large amount of action happening there toward of next week," he said.
Warning signs are in place for heavy vehicles and diversions near Gundy.
The Dripstone bridge diversion work is also expected to begin in the next few weeks the technical services director said.
"It will happen closely on the back of work we are doing on the Renshaw McGirr Way," he said.
"Works have commenced on the preparation works for the regional road resealing program including shoulder grading and heavy patching, with resealing of roads programmed for November."
The Technical Services Director has asked the community to be aware of the kerbside clean-up which begins today.
The areas eligible for this collection are Wellington Town, Montefiores, Geurie, Bodangora, Cadonia, Dripstone, Mumbil, Stuart Town and Euchareena. Commercial properties are not eligible for this service.
The clean-up will begin Monday, October 20 until Friday, October 24 in Geurie, Bodangora and Cadonia.
Tuesday, October 28 until Friday, October 31 will include pick-ups in Montefiores and Wellington Township. From Monday, November 3 until Friday, November 7 collections will take place in Dripstone, Mumbil, Stuart Town and Euchareena. Council is asking that rubbish be place out the night before your area's collection date begins.
Rubbish should be placed on the footpath in tidy piles, ensure it does not impede pedestrian traffic and should not be more than a cubic metre in size (about a 6 x 4 trailer size). Any loose rubbish should be place in boxes or bags.
