One of only two current players to have reached the 300-game milestone, the Sharks prop forward will be 34 and out of contract at the end of the season.

But as he continues his15th season, Tolman is even more certain he is not finished with the NRL as yet.

"I'd love to keep playing, there's no doubt about that," he said.

"Whether that happens, it's up to me with the way I perform on the field but it's also up to other people as well.

"I think I'm doing a good job but I know that you're only one poor performance away from not getting picked.

"I've just got to focus on what I can do for this team with the way I play."

Tolman has missed only one game this season and said his body still felt up to the rigours of elite rugby league.

"At the moment, I'm feeling pretty good," he said.

On Thursday night, fourth-placed Cronulla have the chance to test themselves against Melbourne, the club with whom Tolman made his NRL debut and played in the 2009 grand final.

The Storm are missing Cameron Munster, Felise Kaufusi, Xavier Coates and more but Tolman has warned his teammates not to take them lightly, especially not after a loss.

"If you're thinking that way you shouldn't be in first grade," he said.

"No matter who takes the field in the NRL, they're quality players."
