Aziz Ansari: Nightclub Comedian

Netflix

This special is short, but does not disappoint. The live show is taped at New York's Comedy Cellar, where he did his first stand-up ever 20 years ago as a student at NYU. "Sometimes you gotta come back and compete with chicken wings," he says. Ansari is an astute observer of the times. He's on the money when he says of the current moment, "Everything is a little bit shittier" and "we just live in the comments threads now".
