Show president Phil Hunter, was "over the moon" with the positive response from the local community, even though horse events had to be cancelled due to 20 millimetres of rain drenching the showground between 4am and 7am that morning.

Among the positives was the acknowledgment of three show committee volunteer stalwarts during the official opening who were presented life memberships.
Joyce Johnson alongside husband and wife duo Elaine and Les Hunter were presented their badges by local federal member for Calare, Andrew Gee, immediately after former St Columbus' Catholic School principal, Glen Brown returned to officially open the show.
Also a strong show supporter In the 20-plus years he was principal, Mr Brown said he had only missed one show (2017).
