Dubbo and Wellington residents will make a splash at each of the town's Aquatic centres on Saturday when the 2020/2021 swim season commences.

Geurie residents will have to wait until November for their pool to open.
Dubbo Regional Council's Director of Liveability Skye Price said they are excited to open both the Dubbo Aquatic Leisure Centre (DALC) and the Wellington Aquatic Leisure Centre (WALC) for the 2020/21 season.
The renovated $8.5 million Wellington pool includes a new eight lane heated pool with disabled access, a heated exercise and learn to swim pool, splash pad and new amenities.
The redevelopment was funded with money from the amalgamation of Dubbo and Wellington councils.
"This will be Wellington's first full swimming season after its major redevelopment was completed in October 2019," Ms Price said.
The DRC swim season for Dubbo and Wellington will run until March, 28 2021. Geurie pool will open November, 7, 2020 and close March, 28 2021.
Dubbo and Wellington pools both have heating capabilities which allows for an extended swim season, Ms Price said.
Council's 2020/2021 budget significantly reduced pool fees for the swim season.
This year, a family season ticket to DALC was $514. It's now dropped to $250. Meanwhile, an adult season pass is $100, and children and pensioners will pay $70. The costs for a three month ticket has also been cut.
In Wellington, the cost will be $200 for a family season pass, $80 for just an adult and $50 for a child or pensioner.

While in Geurie it has been reduced to $100 for a family season pass, $70 for an adult and $45 for a child or pensioner.
"It is anticipated the reduced prices will encourage increased patronage across the sites," Ms Price said.
Each centre will be operating with a COVIDSafe plan and users will be expected to uphold social distancing requirements.
"Just like all DRC businesses, WALC and DALC will operate under a COVIDSafe plan," Ms Price said.
"Customers are asked to take care, pay attention to COVID signage and physical distancing recommendations."
