Australian Red Cross Director of Programs Noel Clement, Executive Officer BHP Foundation James Ensor and Australia Country Program Director, BHP Foundation. Jen Dawson, led the workshop at Dubbo.
Mr Clement said the main focuses of the workshop are to fill in any gaps they may see within communities, encourage residents to communicate instead of isolating themselves in times of stress and help aid communities in taking preventative measures for future occurrences.
"People who are struggling psychologically during times of stress due to the drought tend to think they're the only ones going through it and often isolate themselves," Mr Clement said.
"The lack of wellbeing can cause a number of things from families being broken up, to an increase in self-harm and a decrease in employment.
