More than 800 people across the Wellington region filled Cameron Park with festive spirit when they attended the town's fourth community Christmas party.

Dubbo Regional Council's communities for children officer Maree Thomas organised the celebration and explained that the event "brings people together in the Christmas spirit."
Many families also took the opportunity to have their photograph taken with Santa Claus at a special photo booth.
Another huge hit that evening was the majority of rides and games, face painting and market stalls.

"It was a fun night that bought all the community together in the spirit of Christmas," Ms Thomas said.
Following the community Christmas party, Wellington's traditional Christmas carols event was held.
Dubbo Regional Council was supported by Infigen Energy, Wellington Craft Group, Wellington Correctional Centre, John Holland Rail, Barnardos, Communities for Children, Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club and Rotary in presenting the Wellington Community Christmas Party.
