The improvements have been made in Nanima Crescent between Warne Street and Maughan Street and also includes new trees and gardens.

Member for Dubbo Dugald Saunders toured the upgraded streetscape with members of Dubbo Regional Council (DRC) on December 3.

Mr Saunders said the upgrades are a win for locals which will help attract visitors and new business investment.

"This is about delivering much needed public infrastructure and improved amenities for the community," he said.

The stage three project was awarded $700,000 by the NSW Government as part of the Restart NSW Cobbora Transition Fund.

DRC has been awarded NSW Government funding to deliver this suite of infrastructure improvement projects in Wellington.

"The NSW Government is committed to making our regional towns and villages more attractive places to live and visit, and I'm proud we have been able to help Dubbo Regional Council achieve that with these works," Mr Saunders said.

"Investments in local infrastructure help attract more people, which in turn boosts our local businesses and creates local employment opportunities."

Mayor of the Dubbo Region Ben Shields said the Wellington community were big winners from the funding.

"Wellington is blessed to have one of the most picturesque main streets in regional NSW with its CBD on one side and Cameron Park and the Bell River on the other. These upgrades have served to enhance its beauty," Clr Shields said.
