Schute Bell report that the losses on the last day of the previous weeks sale carried over to last week with the end result leading to almost all of the previous week's gains being eroded. The falls were almost exclusively consigned to the first day of sales with the norther region indicator dropping 18c and a further 1c on the final day totalling 19c for the week to finish at 1,591c per kg clean. 30,222 bales were sold with a passed in rate of 15.3 per cent with re offered wool making up to 10 per cent of the offering. The market has now traded in a fairly tight 100c band for the past 3 months. The August prediction of a 5 per cent fall in production was almost doubled to 9.2 per cent. This would place Australia's shown wool production at its lowest level in 95 years.
