Over the month of August, the 12-year-old took part in the MS Readathon fundraiser.
The MS Readathon is a reading-based event that encourages children to read books, learn about multiple sclerosis and raise funds to assist people living with MS.
Participants read what they want and as much as possible and ask friends and family to sponsor them either online or by giving a donation in cash or by cheque.
While Daisy's initial goal was to raise $250 for multiple sclerosis, the avid reader smashed her target by reaching $4581.20.
It was Daisy's first time taking part in the fundraiser and through her efforts became the third highest money raiser.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
Raising funds for the MS Readathon means families can attend MS camps and meet other families in similar situations.
Daisy said she was "shocked", but happy to find out she had raised that much money for the charity.
She was awarded a special medal and was given a kindle and 12 books.
To get through that many stories, Daisy read a couple of books at a time, mostly on the bus to and from school.
She thanked all of the generous sponsors who donated to her cause.
