Audio books online, anytime
As the holiday season starts and car trips are planned you start to think, what am I going to listen to in the car? Do you like good stories, learning new things, motivational or how-to guides? Your library card gives you access to hundreds of free online audio books with a title for everyone! Download one of the libraries audio book apps and start browsing from among the popular and new titles, non-fiction stories, guides, memoirs and more. Or if you have kids in the car, pop on a junior fiction title- they are shorter stories with great voices and entertainment value for any ages. The apps are easy to use and can connect to the sound system in your car with the touch of a few buttons. Use the libraries free WIFI to download books and play offline as you travel. Also perfect for when you're on your morning walk or gym session, listening while you work in the garden, keeping the kids quiet... we could go on. Having trouble? Browse new additions to the library through the scrolling display down the bottom of the home page, or the 'new books and DVDs' page. Find your next read through the handy, 'what to read next' tab or explore the many free programs for adults, youths and kids available across all the MRL branches.
The online library catalouge is a great place to start searching for resources on particular subjects, books by a certain author, or you can search for the specific title you are after as well. You can also log on to your library account and see what you have on loan, place reservations, renew your items and check what the due dates are for each item you have out.
