The meet and greet is being held at the Wellington Civic Centre on Tuesday, November 12, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
Council's meet and greet will include a short presentation showcasing the new aquatic centre and the Visitor Information Centre at the Wellington Caves
Attendees will also have the chance to ask questions and hear from the Mayor, Councillors and senior staff.
The meet and greet is held three times a year in Wellington to provide an important access point between the community and Council.
The official opening of the Wellington Aquatic Leisure Centre happens with a free family fun day on November 16, DRC mayor Ben Shields said the meet and greet was a perfect opportunity to see what to expect.

"There is a lot of excitement in Wellington about the new pool and there rightly so. With a disability-friendly Olympic pool, heated learn to swim pool, splash pad and great new amenities, this is a fantastic resource," Cr Shields said.
"The new information centre at the Caves will modernise the entrance to that great attraction and is due to open in December. As such an important piece of Wellington's tourism, everyone should be thrilled to see what has happened there."
Cr Shields said previous meet and greets had generated some bright initiatives for the town including the formation of a master-plan for the beautification of town entrances and Wellington CBD.
