WINS Community Centre were invited by Wellington Arts president Lisa Thomas to attend a session on lantern making recently, which will be displayed at the multicultural celebration this Friday, October 25.
The ongoing partnership first started last year, when the centre took a group of children to make lanterns for the inaugural festival.
Utilising the PCYC and Live Better Community Transport, vehicles we were able to transport 23 children to Dubbo to learn the lantern making craft.

WINS Community Centre CEO Helen Swan said everyone really enjoyed their day out and some beautiful lanterns were produced.
She added the number of children interested and the skills learnt greatly increased.
The lanterns will be on display at the iconic Fong Lees Lane celebration, which commenced 5pm.
