The annual event aims to raise awareness of road and motorbike safety.

Now in its ninth year, this 2019 Two Wheels to Wellington attracted approximately 1000 people throughout the course of the day.

Together with the help of volunteers, Two Wheels to Wellington is made up of three committee members Peter Ogden, John Jannis and Phillip Melhuish

Mr Ogden said it was nice to see 200 bikes in Wellington that helped spread the message of bike safety.

"We're all riders and motorists, but we're ratepayers and we've got families so it's important we go out for a ride and we come back," Mr Ogden explained.

(It's) About making other motorists aware that there's bikes on the road... we need to be rider aware as well and be conscious of other people who may not always see us and ride accordingly."

The event was held in Cameron Park and Mr Ogden had nothing but praise for the site saying it was one of Wellington's best assets.

Mr Ogden added that it was great to see many families take the opportunity to come to the event, as well as NSW Police. A majority of proceeds made on the day, together with other fundraising, will be donated to the Ulysses Club Arthritis Research Fund.

"The money goes directly into arthritis research," Mr Ogden said.

To date they have helped donate approximately $20,000 to the fund. Mr Ogden thanked all of the helpers and sponsors that helped make the day possible.
