Local students have been on a wild adventure to Dubbo when they visited Taronga Western Plains Zoo recently.

Students from Wellington Public and the whole of Wellington Christian School saw giraffes, meerkats and much more on October 16.
The initiative was able to happen thanks to Wellington Rotary who set aside drought assistance money for the local district.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
They decided to offer primary school students within the district a fully funded trip to the zoo.
Wellington Rotary also successfully received funding from Northbridge Rotary and the Rotary Australian Benevolent Society.
Since September, local students within the Wellington education district have taken part in the zoo excursion each Wednesday.
A barbecue lunch has been provided on the day by Rotary members.
Dubbo Christian School student Angela Barnes said her favourite animal was the meerkats because "they chase bugs."
While Archer Ansted and Adele Bishop both liked the giraffes.
