Organisers said it was a huge success with over 200 dogs and approximately 50 people competing in the three sheepdog trials.
For the first time, the event partnered with the yard dog section and cattle dog trials to become one big event.
Mick Hudson from Eumungerie with his dog Ritchies Finn, accumulated a total of 196 points over two rounds to win the open section.
Daniel Pumpa and his dog, Whites Benji, came first in the novice. The improver section was won by Tegan Perry and Delrio Fly.
Bill Davidson and his dog Wirchilleba Stormy won the Futurity section, which was open for dogs aged four years and under.
Organiser Jon Cantrall said the competition went well and despite having 200 runs to get through were able to finish at a reasonable time on Sunday.
"All of the competitors were really helpful as well and very co-operative with being there ready for their run...," he explained.
Mr Cantrall said it was great the event could attract such a high calibre of competitors, which includes the likes of Mr Hudson, who he described as the best trialler currently in Australia.
"It's great because they support the event and it's also great to be able to see them work their dogs as well," he added.
There were a number of other competitors in the trial who were also very strong, Mr Cantrall said, which shows him that dog trialling in New South Wales was going well.
The Dubbo Sheepdog Club, has been running a trial since 2006 and Mr Cantrall said it has always achieved a good turnout, largely due to members running a well organised event which competitors appreciate and enjoy.
Dubbo Sheepdog Workers' Club thanked all of their sponsors, which included the Edwards family for generously supplying the sheep.
