A Melbourne Vietnamese temple recently donated a statue with very special meaning to the Wellington Buddhist Centre.

The Abbot of Quang Minh Temple donated the Ksitigarbha statue, and from a Buddhist view represents a humanitarian perspective

The Ksitigarbha statue was given to the local centre to be a protector for the area as the Vietnamese Abbot and the community in Melbourne feel a connection with Wellington and the local Buddhists.

There are many Buddhist stories of having a guardian like Ksitigarbha.
