Tyrone Peachey has closed the door on an exit from the struggling Gold Coast Titans, telling NRL.com that he wants to stay on with the club and partner with Ash Taylor in the halves next season.

"I've had that chat with Mal. My partner's happy and everything, so I told Mal that I want to be here," Peachey said, in a reversal from earlier reports.

The versatile utility and former Wellington gun had previously been linked to a move back to Penrith as late as mid-June, but whatever talks occurred didn't eventuate before the close of the June 30 transfer deadline.
Peachey indicated that he was hoping to make a full-time switch to the five-eighth position with the blessing of new Titans coach Craig Hodges.
"I kind of feel that I could be a really good five-eighth," Peachey told NRL.com.
"I'm really enjoying my time there and thankfully Hodgo gave me the opportunity."
