The rangeland goats were stolen from a property on Ivanhoe Road at Cobar sometime between August 15 and 16, NSW Police State Rural Crime Co-ordinator Detective Inspector Cameron Whiteside said.
"The offenders tampered with fencing to gain access to the property and stole the rangeland goats by utilising a makeshift yard," he said.
"Goat theft is an ongoing problem in the west."
Detective Inspector Whiteside has called on anyone with information in relation to this or any other stock theft in the area to contact Cobar Police Station on 6830 9899 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
