Dancers and ballerinas from across Australia put their best foot forward at the Wellington Civic Centre over the weekend as part of the 2019 Eisteddfod.

Families came from as far as the Sunshine Coast to attend, with some not having to travel as far.
Many of the dancers the Wellington Times spoke to said they had attended the Wellington Eisteddfod for a few years.
"It's really fun and you get to express yourself," Lily Wallace from Mudgee said.
Gulgong's Matilda Garner and Chloe McKenzie agreed.
"And you get to have fun with your friends," Matilda added.

All three aspiring dancers were in the jazz category of the Eisteddfod dance section.
The annual event is in its 43rd year and runs until August 16.
A total of 2814 creative youngsters from Wellington, Sydney, Bathurst, Cowra, Gilgandra, Dubbo, Orange, Narromine and Geurie entered into the dance, speech and drama plus vocal and and instrumental sections.
