At half-time Wellington lead 31-nil, and despite putting on the brakes in the second half of the game, they were still able to walk away with a 43-19 win.
Wellington Redbacks coach Greg Brien said for the first 30 minutes his side did everything right and played to their strengths.
"And that was the comment we tried to get across before we went out. We needed to win with a bonus point which we did, but we wanted to do those things right.... do it like we trained to do," he said.
"We relaxed a bit (in the second half) and perhaps took our foot off the throttle in the second half."
The Redbacks have had few weeks off from the field due to forfeits and byes.
The last time they played a proper Oilplus Cup game was in Round nine against the Geurie Goats which resulted in 22-all.
And the previous weekend, Wellington were supposed to play the Canowindra Python during round 12 at home, but a forfeit meant the Redbacks Old Boys pulled on their boots instead for a friendly game.
But despite not having played a proper game in a while, Brien said overall he was pleased to come away with the win against Yeoval and a bonus point as well.
"We let Yeoval sneak into it and they probably outscored us in the second half," he said.
We're masters of our own destiny at this stage
- Greg Brien, Wellington Redbacks coach
The Redbacks currently sit second on the ladder and this Saturday will take on fourth place Coolah Roos at Montefiores Park.
Brien said this coming Saturday's game was going to be "terribly hard", with Coolah desperate to get the win and stay in the competition, but it was the same feeling around the Redbacks camp.
"They have to be on the front foot too and they would love to go away with the win and have some bragging rights, but we're determined this is the way we want to finish coming into the semi-finals and we want to finish with a win and hopefully a bonus point," he said.

Walking away with a win this weekend would put the Redbacks even higher on the ladder and in a better finals position.
"We're masters of our own destiny at this stage," Brien said.
The home game coincides with the Redbacks Ladies Day.
With just two more rounds to go before finals commence, Brien said one of the biggest things his side will take going in was to not let up and to keep their composure.
"It's not scoring a try off every play, it's building to that one moment when there's an opportunity there," he explained.
The Redbacks men side will kick off at 2pm, and the ladies side will play approximately 3:30pm.
Supporters were welcome to come along for the day which commences 1pm at Montefiores Park and later that evening are welcome at the Lion of Waterloo.
