The local business owner of coffee shop, Jespresso, was recently awarded a Highly Commended in the Emerging Business Leader (18-34) during the 2019 Orange Business Awards on July 6.
The award recognises the positive contribution made to business by business people and professionals.
It also recognises those who demonstrate outstanding entrepreneurial spirit, strategic business direction and innovative ideas, whilst providing inspiration to a new generation of upcoming business leaders.
Ms Gough was nominated with 13 other finalists and said to receive the Highly Commended award means she was on the right track.
"I think one of the important things or me is that I continued the business while having a baby. But not only continued it, but I doubled it," she said.
Ms Gough said she's not only passionate about her business, but the Wellington community too, through sponsorship and more.
Jespresso started in 2015 and and recently Ms Gough has just opened another new business called 'Made in Wellington', which is a space for local crafters and artists to sell their works.
She thanked her regular customers in Wellington for supporting the business.
