Last week at a special launch at Flemington Racecourse it was announced that in October Yeoval will be a tour destination.
Yeoval joins 38 other towns and cities across the globe that will be part of the 17th annual Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour.
Local curator of the 'Banjo Paterson.... More than a Poet Museum' Alf Cantrell said being part of the tour will be an unforgettable experience.
"Yeoval is the childhood home of famed bush poet Banjo Paterson, who was a long time visitor to the Melbourne Cup and one of Australia's most celebrated turf writer," Mr Cantrell said.

"We look forward to celebrating Yeoval's place in racing history when the coveted trophy visits in October."
This year's tour will also feature an exciting new element, with 24 rural and regional destinations across Australia to be allocated a barrier for the 2019 Lexus Melbourne Cup.
Yeoval will be included as a national sweep destination in the new initiative.
Barriers will be drawn at random throughout the tour and the town which draws the barrier of the Lexus Melbourne Cup-winning horse will be presented with a cash prize of $50,000 to be put towards a charity for a local community initiative.
