LiveBetter's Kathy Dickson, the senior manager of LiveBetter's transport services denied that the organisation had impacted Lance Kerr's taxi business and it's operations in Wellington.
"We're actually helping Lance by supporting the taxi industry," Ms Dickson said.
"If you live in a town where the buses don't operate on Sunday, then you don't have any public transport other than taxis, so what we've decided to do is that we subsidise taxi transport, so we actually help the taxis."

"I believe personally, that taxis and any other point to point service provider can work well together, and I've proved it in many other locations."
Ms Dickson also re-stated the organisation's rejection of allegations surrounding conduct at the Wellington Boot.
"As far as this Wellington Boot thing is concerned, the race committee approached the PCYC and asked for help with transport," Ms Dickson said.
"The PCYC approached us and asked to hire our bus, and that was the sum of our involvement in that event."
"We had no involvement in it at all apart form hiring out the vehicle."
"We did not bring buses in from Dubbo, we didn't do anything like that."
Ms Dickson also stated that LiveBetter's commitment to providing transport to those covered by the eligibility for commonwealth funding and transport disadvantaged areas, would mean the organisation would keep using subsidised vouchers that individuals can use with the local taxis.
"We will continue to support him, even thought he has attacked us because my priority is the community of Wellington," Ms Dickson said.
"I don't care if it's taxis, they need to have transport and if I need to support the taxis to do so. I have never seen taxis as a competitor. We make no requirements to how people use those taxi vouchers."
Over the last six months, LiveBetter says they've given $5750 worth of taxi vouchers which have been used to pay for taxi fares.
"I think they provide a wonderful service, I've always found the taxi drivers that I've dealt with, they are friendly, helpful, their vehicles are a very good standard, they help us, because we can't reliably provide the transport they provide," Ms Dickson said.
"As a team, together, what you end up with is a town or community that has a varied taxi and transport options, that's what we want, I don't want to see any taxi go under, I've supported them in every location to the absolute nth degree."
"I'd be more than happy to meet with Lance again."
