Eligible not-for-profit groups in the Wellington area will be able to apply for up to $5000 in grant funding from the Bodangora Wind Farm Consultation Committee, in keeping with the wind farm's previous commitments in the prior three rounds of funding.
Mayor of the Dubbo Region Ben Shields implored community groups both large and small to apply for funding if they meet the outlined criteria the committee are looking for.

"This fund will make a real difference to community projects in Wellington with $1.25 million earmarked for the Community Benefit Fund for the first 25 years of operation," Mayor Shields said.
The agreement between Dubbo Regional Council and Bodangora Wind Farm has already distributed $75,000 in funding to Wellington based community groups.
"The funding is available from a Planning Agreement made between Infigen - Bodangora Wind Farm and Council with $50,000 in development contributions being directed to a Community Benefit Fund annually for the first 25 years of operation," Mayor Shields said.
"In the fourth round of funding $25,000 is available to be distributed to community projects through the application process."
Previous recipients of the funding grants included sporting groups, community and aged care groups and schools.
