The man was arrested by police on March 19 and charged with two counts of indecently assaulting a person under 16 years of age.
He was also charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault and taken into custody.
Police allege the man had non-consensual sexual intercourse with the girl at Currans Hill in Sydney's Macarthur region, between October 1 and November 30 in 2018.
He is also accused of knowing the girl did not consent to having sex with him.
The man did not enter pleas to the charges.
Police were opposed to the alleged offender being granted because of the nature of the offences and vulnerability of victims.
The man's legal representative said he has never been in custody and might be vulnerable if he was sent to prison, because of the nature of the allegations.
Magistrate Gary Wilson granted conditional bail and said the man must not go near any child under 16 years of age unless he is in the company of a responsible adult.
