Police are investigating after a man was shot during a home invasion in Wellington.

Four men forced their way into a home on Gobolion Street, armed with shotguns and a machete shortly before 3.30am on Tuesday February 12.
Police have been told that the 37 year old occupant was assaulted and struck with the machete, before being shot in the groin.
The occupant was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, then taken to Orange Base Hospital where he underwent surgery and is now in a stable condition.
Detective from Orana Mid Western Police District are now conducting a full investigation at the home where a crime scene has been established.
Police do not believe the community are at on-going risk.
