On Friday, February 1 NSW Police rural crime investigators and Orange Mid Western Police District detectives executed a search warrant at an address in Bylong east of Mudgee.

“During the search police will allege they located and seized 37 cannabis plants, an unregistered .22 calibre rifle, ammunition, a small amount of cannabis seeds and cannabis leaf,” State Rural Crime co-ordinator Detective Inspector Cameron Whiteside said.
“A 29-year-old man was arrested at the scene.
“He was taken to Mudgee Police Station where he was charged with numerous firearms offences, cultivate prohibited plant and possess prohibited drug.”
The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Rylstone Local Court next month.
