Part of the initiative’s goals is to provide teaching for young people in areas like equipment setup, promotional marketing and how to interact with artists and venues.
“We love live local music in the Dubbo electorate so this funding is an excellent chance for the area to enjoy more in 2019,” Member for Dubbo Troy Grant said.
“Supporting young people to develop in such a competitive industry is an opportunity not to be missed and I’m sure whether hosting the event or performing, this funding will be greatly received.”
The Galaxy Girls originally appeared as part of SpringFest 2017, before performing at the Enlighten festival last year in Canberra.
