This week is the Engineering Station which starts on January 7-8 from 11-1pm, January 9-11, 2-4pm, when you can design, build and create towers, bridges, transformers, castles and so much more only using the materials provided.
Week 2 is Waste to Art 14-15 January 11-1pm, 16-18 January 2-4pm, recycling other people’s trash to create treasured works of art.
Week 3 will be Lego Challenges 21-22 January 11-1pm, 23-25 January 2-4pm, test your Lego skills against other enthusiasts.
Summer Reading Club
There is still plenty of time left to join The Summer Reading Club, you have until the January 31 to read as many books as you can.
If you’re between 0-18 years old come on in and join in the fun of Summer holidays. When children register at the Library they will receive a Summer Reading Club pack, which includes the book log and activities to enjoy, and curious creatures to create over the holiday period.
There are also lots of bonuses available for reading and listening to books, including a book prize for participants who complete their first reading log. A range of fun activities will also be held for children at the Library throughout the summer holidays. The Summer Reading Club is a national program to help maintain literacy levels in children during holiday periods.
Drop-in activities
Visit the library these school holidays for a range of free drop-in activities for children aged 5 - 12 years. No bookings required. Simply drop in any time during activity times to join in the fun! For full details select your branch online. Regional libraries are located at: Baradine, Coolah, Coonabarabran, Dubbo, Dunedoo, Mendooran, Narromine, Trangie and Wellington.
