As it currently stands, council meetings are held in Wellington every four months. However, a proposal by council’s executive manager governance and internal control Michael Ferguson will see them only be held in Dubbo.
In a report on the council and committee meeting dates to go before the council meeting on Monday night, Mr Ferguson has outlined the plan for the council meetings from October.
“It is also proposed that all meetings occur in Dubbo with council to investigate a video conferencing solution for residents of Wellington to participate in the Public forum section of council and to view the proceedings of the meeting from a meeting room at the Wellington Administration Building,” he said.
The item will be determined at the August council meeting at the Dubbo chambers on Monday night.
