I think most Wellington residents would agree that the town is benefiting from the increased funding and work that is going on as a result of the amalgamation with Dubbo.

However there are a number of benefits that the community may not even be aware of that could help Wellington to continue to grow in its own right.
The Dubbo Region is part of Evocities, a campaign involving the seven inland cities of NSW; Albury, Wagga, Bathurst, Orange, Tamworth, Armidale and Dubbo, that aims to change the perception of what it is like to live and work in regional NSW.
With the combined marketing power of all members, it is able to advertise in Sydney and attempt to attract people who are looking for a lifestyle change to come west.
One of the ways it does that is allowing people to look into all aspects of life in regional areas, from employment to recreation to housing.
EvoJobs is a fantastic part of the EvoCities program that allows employers to advertise job vacancies and reach a different audience.
It has been extremely effective so far, with more than 43,000 jobs being advertised through EvoJobs since 2010 and they have been seen by 2.3 million visitors to evojobs.com.au.
This is an area that I feel Wellington businesses can take advantage of.
It is free to advertise on the EvoJobs website and can find people who might be perfect for the job, and looking to leave Sydney for a tree change.
It doesn’t matter whether the job is in health, education, hospitality or a trade, if you want a chance to reach a wider audience for free, EvoJobs should be where you go.
