Investigative work began at the Wellington Pool in June to determine the best method of construction before council begin accepting tenders for the works in August.
It is hoped works will be completed by October 2019.
To assist the community during the upcoming swimming season Dubbo Regional Council have put together a proposal for alternative arrangements during this time.
They are asking the community to provide feedback on the proposals at the community meetings, with topics to include:
- Hours of operation and admissions fees
- Designated lanes for lap swimmers
- Private swimming lessons and squad coaching
- Swimming Clubs
- School Learn to Swim/Sport programs
- Aqua aerobics
The community meetings will be held at the Geurie Memorial Hall on Tuesday, July 24 at 6pm and at the Wellington Council office on Tuesday, August 31 at 5pm.
