Temperatures reached a low of minus 1 on Friday but overnight lows are expected to sit just north of zero through until mid-next week.
Thursday and Friday will be the warmest mornings, tipped for 3 degrees, before dipping to 1 degree over the weekend.
Temperatures will hit a high of 18 degrees through to the end of the week and 17 on Saturday, dropping to a high of 16 on Sunday and Monday.
The frost risk is considered to be moderate but winds shouldn’t go much above 10 kilometres per hour over the next few days.
Like most of Central West NSW, Wellington got a small shower of rain early this month, but not enough to help farmers.
The region has had five wet days this month, for a total of 12.2 millimetres. The long-term average for June is 47.9mm but the forecasts make it seem increasingly unlikely that will be reached in 2018.
If any good news can be found, the town has passed its driest June on record, with a measly 1.7mm falling in 1984.
