Ladies Golf
With the weather fining up after Saturday, the Club had a great rollup of the Dubbo RSL Golfing Group on Sunday. The guys, under the leadership of Dudley thoroughly enjoyed themselves, purchased all their “day’s events winning prizes” from the Club and had the bus detour via Ballimore on the way home.

Monday, the Club hosted the Central West Veterans Day, one of two that is hosted each year. Fifty five players participated with Wellington’s Kathy Martin and David Naveau taking out the Ladies and Men’s Events The next round will be in August.
The Club also had a number of visitors either staying at the nearby Caves Holiday & Caravan Complex or with relatives in town, which all made for a great Long Weekend of Golf.
A big “Thank You” to all the Members who loaned Carts and the Ladies who assisted with hosting and catering on both days. Also a big “Thank You” to the local Veteran Tuesday players who helped Marie yesterday Volunteers are want helps Clubs stay viable.
Central West Golf Association
- KENO 4B versus PAR Qualifying Round.
This coming Sunday, June 17 will see the Club hosting Central West District Golf Association’s Qualifying
- Round of the Keno 4B versus Par Event with the winner travelling to Bon Ville to represent their Club and District at the State Finals. $25 entry fee will get you Golf and Lunch. A time sheet is available, please contact the Club.

Men’s Golf
Last Saturday saw 22 golfers hit the course with glorious rain around to keep the players company, an Individual Stableford was played with Luke Milgate the kind sponsor on the day. This Saturday see's a 4Ball Stableford being played inconjuction with Round 3 of the Wellington Plant Hire pointscore, draw for partners and shot gun start, all names to be in by 12pm please.
This Sunday see's the playing of the C.W.D Keno Golf qualifier and it's being played at Wellington Golf Club, the cost for the day is $25 with the Tee's open from 9am. Winner last Saturday with an even par round of golf and the first of what should be many more rounds like it was Lewis McCarthy, 42 points was his final score.
Runner up was Paul Hannelly who finished with an impressive 39 points. Ball competition winners were Lewis McCarthy 42 points, Paul Hannelly 39 points, Doug Ney 38 points, Robert Baker 36 points, Fletcher Ivey 36 points, Steven McCarroll 36 points. Ron Stubblefield Toyota Terrific Tee Shot on the third it went to Rod McMahon, on the eight it went to David Naveau, on the 14th it went to Ben McCarthy, on the 16th it went to David Naveau.
Gersbachs Mechanical nearest the pin in two shots on the ten hole went to Luke Milgate. McDonald's biggest whack in A grade went to John Donnelly and in B grade it went to Paul Hannelly. Brent's NFI award winner last Saturday was David Gillard who played all 18 holes to score just 23 points. The Semi-Finals for the Kiss Trophy see's Rod Irwin taking on Noel Stanford and Doug Ney takes on Lewis McCarthy with these matches to played by June 23.
Draw for Round 3 Cornish Trophy: Tim Parker-Rod Pedron taking on Kevin Reid-Garth Watts, John Donnelly-Norm Royal take on David French-David King, Rod McMahon-Liam Brien take on Rodney Cunynghame-David East, Gary Cusack-Darren Whiteley take on Matt Redfern-Jared Wykes. All match's to be played by June 30.
Top five in the Wellington Soldier's Memorial Pointscore after six rounds see's John Donnelly 105 points, Gary Cusack 103 points, Norm Royal 102 points, Kurt Cusack 99 points and Gary McNaughton 90 points. Top five in the Wellington Plant Hire Pointscore see's Norm Royal 48 points, Tony Cowan 46.5 points, Malcolm Payne 45.5 points, Rod McMahon 45 points, John Southwell 44.5 points.
Darts
Wellington Darts had last Monday Night off but will be back on again this coming Monday Night at the Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club. Any new players or teams can come along and nominate for the Winter competition.
The Shield Final will see the BDDP taking on the Odd One's Out with the winner to take on the Sharkies. The Cup Final will see the Soldiers taking on Were Here with the winner to take on Him'N'Hers the week later.
Wellington Darts Championship dates are, Ladies Singles June 24, Men's Singles July 29, Double Start September 9, there is also the Grand Slam of Darts which will be now know as Greg Whiteman Memorial Trophy which will run between the Summer and Winter competition's and played on Monday nights.
