Wellington Police responded to the accident at the intersection of Burrendong Way and The Circle Road at about 9.15pm where a 21-year-old man from Orange had lost control to the Kia Rio sedan he was driving.
Inspector Dan Skelly said the vehicle left the roadway, overturned, and trapped the driver who was the only occupant of the car and received relatively minor injuries. He was later freed by NSW Ambulance Service paramedics and SES.
"We appeal to drivers to take extra care when travelling on dark country roads at night,” Inspector Skelly said.
“There is an abundance of wildlife entering the roads at night and present a major hazard to drivers.
“We also appeal to drivers not to drive when tired, driving at night, especially in the later hours and early mornings, is a danger period for drivers in respect to fatigue."
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
