Wellington Golf Club saw 40 golfers hit the fairways last Saturday with a four Ball Aggregate being played plus Round 1 of the Cornish Trophy and many thanks to Jan Payne of Happy Feet for her kind sponsorship last week.

The Ron Frappell Memorial Golf Day will be held today, Wednesday, April 25 with tee opening from 12.30pm to 1.30pm.
4BBB Event - If you haven’t organised a partner I am sure one can be organised for you.
Either ring the golf club or turn up at midday. Cost is $25 which includes your green fees and barbecue afterwards. Bring a little extra for raffle and drinks.
Please come into the club to register before hitting off.
All proceeds from the day will be going into the club’s Machinery Fund, which Ron loved working the course with as an avid volunteer and Life Member.
The day is being sponsored by the Ladies Golf Committee.
Twilight Presentation
Friday evening saw a small and enthusiastic bunch of players enjoying a great meal supplied by Chica, Coug, Peter, Jan, Wendy, Gae and assistant cook Rod (all players).
Those that could not make it or forgot, missed a wonderful night of food, drink and dancing music supplied by DJ’s – Rod and Brent.
The overall winners being:- Tim (Tiger) Parker and Gae Drew. Congratulations to Chica, Peter, Coug and Wendy for organising a great Summer Twilight Competition.
This Saturday see's Round 1 of the Wellington Plant Hire sponsored Tournament which runs over four rounds with best three scores to count, names are to be in by 12noon for a 12.30pm shot gun start.
Winners last Saturday were Paul Hannelly who carved the course apart with his partner Peter Payne who was in oar of his partner, there final score was 78 points.
Runners up and on a count back were Daniel Baxter and Geoff Stephens who finished with 75 points.
Ball competition winners were Paul Hannelly-Peter Payne 78 points, Daniel Baxter-Geoff Stephens 75 points, Kurt Cusack-Lewis McCarthy 75 points, Gary McNaughton-Geoff Walker 73 points, Nick Cosier-Kurt Cusack 73 points, John Donnelly-Norm Royal 72 points.
Ron Stubblefield Toyota Terrific Tee Shot on the third it went to Rodney Cunynghame 1.47 meters, on the eight it went to David Burke 3.23 meters, on the 14th it went to Paul Hannelly 1.45 meters, on the 16th it went to Tim Parker 229 centre meters.
Gersbachs Mechanical nearest the pin in two shots on the sixth hole went to John Donnelly.
McDonald's biggest whack in A Grade went to Geoff Stephens and in B grade it went to Rod McMahon.
Brent's NFI award winners last Saturday were Rex England and Peter Bryant who managed only 55 points, but there were a few golfers just in front of them.

Ladies Golf
Last week 18 players contested the Monthly Medal with the winner being Carmel Cohen
Denise Haesler won the scratch.
Today due to ANZAC Day, many ladies are supporting the Ron Frappell Memorial Day.
Next week will be the second Cornish/Hollow, Lousick Stableford events.
Please note due to a large group of regular visitors, May 2 and 9 events listed in the Program Booklet have been swapped around.
Dubbo Tournament
Denise and Wendy Slack-Smith represented the Club at Dubbo’s Ladies Open last Thursday, returning home better for the experience.
