The Wellington Quota Club donated the cheque in February at a Fellowship night which doubled as the club’s international birthday celebrations. Funds were raised through Quota’s annual art show in conjunction with Springfest 2017, the other 50 per cent of funds donated to Guide Dogs Australia.

“Each year we hold our art show and the proceeds always go to local organisations, even Guide Dogs we requested the funds be used within our area,” Quota president Margaret Grasnick said.

“Helping locals – that is what Quota is all about. It is a service club so money raised goes to local services.

“We are looking forward to the show this year, plans are in place.”
