The all-female youth group performed ‘Neon Caves’ five times on Saturday night in front of around 5000 spectators.
Barnardos Reconnect case worker, Shiree Talbot, said the night went off without a hitch.
“It was really well received,” Shiree said.
“It was an electric atmosphere.”
Shiree said the opportunity – made possible through a partnership with Signal Creatives – has opened more doors for youth in Wellington.
“Our partnership with Signal Creative will be ongoing which means other young people can come on board and get involved with some of the things we’ll be doing in the future,” she said.
“The young women were really excited and proud of the whole production, and they’re looking forward to their next performance which will be in Dubbo in June, so watch this space.”
