6pm: Field 2 – Pups versus Pirates. Duty: Wolf Pack/Blues. Field 3 – Morley’s Earthmoving versus Bolos. Duty: Wellington High/Mean Machine
6.35pm: Field 1 – Wolf Pack versus Wellington High. Field 2 – Nanima Connection versus Fast Eddie Owens. Duty: Pups/Pirates. Field 3 – Blues versus Mean Machine. Duty: Morley’s Earthmoving/ Bolos.

Great start to the finals with some very fast touch and a good standard of sportsmanship among all grades. The competition will resume this week Wednesday the 14 March. Also on March 21 we will be having our grand finals, presentations will be held at the Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club after the games. If we could have all teams attend it would be much appreciated. All grand final winners will be presented with their winning prizes and if all teams could nominate a players player we can award them as well.
Wellington Diggers Swimming Club News
Fifteen members faced the starter last Tuesday in our last weekly point score. Once again the female members outclassed the males with Di Donnelly taking out the 30 metre event being 0.09 outside her nominated time, while Donna Cosier took out the 50 metre event being 0.18 outside her time. Mason Hill and Charlotte Ryan won the Junior Events. Aaron Edwards and Isaiah Hill combined to win the Brace Relay being 0.58 outside their time.
Presentation Night: This has been set down for Saturday, March 24 at the Wellington Caves Complex with an overnight stay for those who wish to.

BOWLS NEWS
Wednesday Bowls: Only six Bowlers took to the greens in last Wednesday Bowls. Winners on the day were Don Graham, Ron Oxenham and Jason Cornish who defeated Glen Porter, Frank Gersbach and Richard Carpenter 20–9. Jackpot Bowls are on today (Wednesday) names in by 1pm for 1.30pm start.
2018 Pennants: Last Sunday our Pennant team defeated Mudgee 63–60 in Round 2 of the grade 6. Barry Smiths team won 24–9, Richard Carpenters team won 27–17 while Peter Bakers team lost 12–34. Teams for our second round games against Macquarie at home next Sunday at 1pm are as follows:

Team Tow: Lead Bill Meharg, second Ron Oxenham, third Robert Harvey and skip Richard Capenter.

Ladies Bowls
Results from Thursday, March 1: Winners were Colleen Forby, Rose Davis and Judy Roberts. Runners-up were Francis Cookson, Regina Last and Delma Gersbach. Raffle winner was Judy Roberts.

Pennants results for Saturday, March 3 saw Wellington defeated by Dubbo Railway. Wellington were defeated by Coonamble on Sunday, March 4, and by Dubbo Railway again on Sunday, March 11. Social bowls are to be played tomorrow at 9am. Names in by 8.30am. Trophy Day and Tracey’s Hair Cut will be played on Thursday, March 22 at 9am.
