The centre was deemed a worthy recipient of the grant, having been nominated in recognition of the much-needed services it provides to the community.
The inspiring and far reaching impact of the work undertaken by PCYC Wellington was a crucial factor in it receiving the grant, according to Commonwealth Bank Wellington branch manager, Matt Jauja.
“We’re thrilled to be able to support organisations like PCYC Wellington in the important work they do for our local community,” he said. “It’s especially meaningful that we are able to celebrate 100 years of employee giving, by nominating an organisation to receive a Centenary Grant in our community.”
Community organisations will receive a share in $10 million set to be distributed through the Centenary Grants program, provided by the CommBank Foundation’s employee giving program.
