The Parkers relocated to the Central West from Colyton, Penrith in December last year and have since settled right into the local way of life.
Mike is establishing a successful new business after identifying the need for a pool and spa service in Wellington, while Angela gained employment close by in Dubbo.
He said while they make the occasional trip to Dubbo, they have everything they need right here.
“Wellington has everything we need,” he said. “There’s a lot of selection – you have competition and the foods are great at the local butchers.”
He also plans on taking up fishing.
Mike said while having heard negative feedback about Wellington prior to the move, he has been pleasantly surprised three months on from moving to the area and holds the town in high regard.
“Wellington is a lovely place, everyone is welcoming, real estate is very supportive, the business community is great and supportive of me starting a business here,” he said.
“It’s a very nice town, you can walk down the street, people say hi to you.
“I’d recommend moving here.”
