A great way to beat this scorching heat is to come on down to the library and try your hand at a jigsaw puzzle, play a game of cards, build a Jenga tower, get creative with some Lego, check out some history with the old Wellington Times newspapers or even read a book or two, with air conditioning, free public use computers and free Wi-Fi, there’s no better place to be.
Storytime/Rhymetime
Wednesday January 31 marks the return of storytime and rhymetime, so if you have any children in the 0-5 age group come along and join in with some rhymes, stories and craft, meet new people and have the kids entertained for free. Storytime starts at 11am and runs for approximately one hour.
What’s New
Why the Rich are Getting Richer by Robert T. Kiyosaki: Once upon a time savers were winners.
Once upon a time a saver could save and get rich. Today savers are losers.
Take a look at what has happened to the value of saver’s savings: In 1970 one million dollars in savings at 15 per cent interest got you $150 thousand dollars a year. In 2017 that same one million dollars in savings will only get you $15 thousand.
Today, even a millionaire cannot live on $15 thousand a year. Is the fairy tale over? If you are looking for new ideas on how to survive and thrive into the future, this book is for you.
