Jumpsuits, sideburns and irresistibly hip-swaying tunes will set the scene for Wellington entertainer, Nigel Stanley, as he performs at the 2018 Elvis Festival at Parkes this week.

Nigel has returned to the festival for the fourth year, with a love for Elvis and a great atmosphere too much for the performer to resist.
Nigel’s main stage will be at the Ex Services Club where he will perform every day this week, including a guest performance on the main stage in Cooke Park this afternoon.
While the Elvis impersonator himself can’t pinpoint his favourite hit, he is bound to have something for everyone – his shows ranging from the roaring ‘50s through to classics from the ‘70s.
“Too numerous to mention, but I like the early stuff from the ‘50s – Blue Suede Shoes and Teddy Bear; and later ‘70s stuff – In the Ghetto, Suspicious Minds, Just Can’t Help Believing,” he said.
Nigel will indeed be rocking the stage in his finest King of Rock attire. And incase you were wondering what the perfect ‘50s rock and roll era outfit requires?
“Something very shiny really, something that stands out from the crowd,” Nigel said.
“The way he used to dress was pretty awesome so anything nice, bright and out there.”
Nigel will finish the week with a finale show on Sunday, before he heads back to Wellington for the third annual Music In Between Festival which will commence on Monday, January 15. He will perform more rock and roll and country rock music at the Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club on Thursday night.
