A good field of 44 golfers hit the fairways last Saturday on an absolutely stinking hot day. The first hole in one for quite a while was hit by Daniel Baxter on the 16th hole, and he got away with out buying a drink what a win.

This Saturday's event is an Individual Stableford and round 10 of the KEIRLE'S Pharmacy Summer competition, plus a repechage will be played in the summer competition with Notts Rural Supplies being the kind sponsor.
An new event has been penciled in for this year with Wellington Plant Hireby coming on board and the event is drawn partners played over 4 rounds with best 3 to count and a shotgun start will commence play on the day.
Last Saturday saw the January Monthly Medal being played as well as round 2 of the Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club point score plus round 9 of the KEIRLE'S Pharmacy Summer competition.
A grade Medal winner was new Club Captain John Donnelly who played the best he has for a while, his words not mine, his score was a 68nett.
A-grade runner up was Gary McCarroll who helped himself by teeing off early to help avoid the heat, his final score was 71nett.
B-grade Monthly Medal winner was Fletcher Ivey who hit the ball well but did leave a few putts out there, his final score was 68nett.
B-grade runner up was Reid Armstrong who played late in the heat and recorded a round of 69nett.
Ball competition winners were John Donnelly 68nett, Fletcher Ivey 68nett, Ried Armstrong 69nett, Mal Scott 69nett, Errol Flood 72nett, Norm Royal 72nett, Greg Freeman 72nett, Luke Milgate 74nett in a count back.
Ron Stubblefield Toyota terrific tee shot on the 3rd it went to John Donnelly 6.21mts, on the 8th it went to Doug Ney 3.96mts, in the 14th it went to John Donnelly, on the 16th it went to Daniel Baxter with a hole in one.
Gersbach’s Mechanical nearest the pin in 2 shots in the 6th hole went to a visitor from Narromine Rod Williams. McDonald's biggest whack in A-grade went to Lewis Stanley with a whack of 301mts and in B grade it went to Kevin Reid with a whack of 201m.
Brent's NFI award winner last week was Tim Parker who finished with an 88nett and he couldn't even beat Doug Ney who has just come back from 2 knee replacements.
