The winner will have his or her dreams of a career in hospitality come true - thanks to the $20,000 partnership from AHA NSW and the Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School (BMIHMS).
The $20,000 grant allows the lucky recipient to undertake a 2.5 year Bachelor of Business degree (International Hotel and Resorts Management) at BMIHMS with the money going towards accommodation costs.
CEO John Whelan said AHA NSW is proud to give back to regional communities through this annual scholarship.
“Regional hotels are the backbone of their communities and this scholarship for a lucky young person is just one way we acknowledge the important role staff play in our venues right across the state,” John said.
“It really is a life changer for young people from the bush, with previous winners coming from areas including Mittagong, Wellington, Grenfell, Griffith, Forster, the Illawarra and Hunter Valley.”
Samantha will attend the final round of interviews on November 10, ahead of the winner being announced at the AHA NSW Awards for Excellence in Sydney on November 21.
