September is Sepsis Awareness Month and to raise awareness within the Wellington community and among health service staff, Wellington Health Service has been very active.

Sepsis is a serious condition which is often not recognised early within the community.
To promote awareness of early symptoms, information and fact sheets have been on display on notice boards throughout in the Wellington Health Service facility.
Staff members have also attended an educational session on the topic to promote early recognition and medical management of sepsis.
On September 13, Wellington Health Service staff enjoyed a Sepsis Awareness Lunch.
