Glen Walker, business development manager for Tocal College, said that the one-day practical course would help farmers and workers apply safety measures around the use of quad bikes on farms.
Recognising that travel can be a burden, Mr Walker said that Tocal was willing to go to rural participants.
Farmers organising a minimum of six participants can request a quad safety course run on their own farm.
Mr Walker said that if farmers got in contact with the college, trainers could try to slot in courses when they were in the area.
“We’re heading out to Wilcannia and running a series through Western NSW from the first week of September,” he said.
In 2016 quad bikes accounted for the highest number of deaths and injuries on farms overall.
The NSW government and Safework NSW launched safety campaigns earlier this year to reduce the toll.
